MechWarrior: Living Legends - September 2009 Update
Welcome to the September digest of MWLL's weekly updates. This post is a summary of all weekly updates released in September by Wandering Samurai Studios, the group behind the Crysis Total Conversion modification MechWarrior: Living Legends.
Textures Done: Bushwacker
After several weeks with updates on Clan war machinery, here is yet another representative for the Inner Sphere - the popular medium class Bushwacker has received its textures as you can see on the screenshot below.
Mad Cat / Timberwolf: Cockpit View
You've already seen the cockpit of the Inner Sphere's Owens, this week we're presenting to you the cockpit of the Clan's Mad Cat / Timberwolf.
Cougar - Textured
Yet another Mech has finally received its new outfit: the Clan's light Cougar. The screenshot below shows this Mech's textures.
Shadow Cat - Four Textured Variants
One of the most popular Clan Mechs, the Shadow Cat has finally received its textures. This week, we're presenting to you the four variants of this 45t war machine.
Before you start wondering: yes, the 'cockpit' is still very much WIP.
Size Comparison: MWLL Mechs and Crysis Buildings
The two screenshots below illustrate a question that often arises: how big, compared to Crysis, are MWLL assets actually? As you can see on these shots, not even the smallest Mechs would fit into Crysis vehicle factories.
Before and After: Level Locations
The two screenshots below compare two locations on SA_Inferno as well as SA_Sandblasted the way they were presented to you months ago in the advent calendar with what they look like today. We hope you like the progress and the way things went as much as we did when we compared the shots.
SA_Sandblasted: New Skybox
The screenshot below document the current skybox on SA_Sandblasted, which has recently undergone further detail improvements to appear more realistic and increase immersion.
SA_ClearCut: New Impressions
SA_ClearCut, while one of the most sophisticated MWLL maps is still receiving a lot of attention and care from our level designers. Some of the progress made recently can be seen on the screenshots below.
SA_Marshes: Updated Scenery
SA_Marshes, swampy, foggy home to mosquitoes... and Mechs. These new screenshots illustrate recent changes and general atmosphere on this map.
SA_Inferno: More Details on the Bases
As explained and demonstrated in the most recent updates, we've put quite some thought to how our maps and in particular the bases could be filled with more life. The bases on SA_Inferno are still receiving a lot of care and detail work and the screenshots below show some of that.
New Assets
More life is coming to MWLL war zones... Check out these assets below, displayed on SA_ClearCut, but available on other maps, too. In case you're missing base defense walls, these are currently being reworked and the placeholders have been removed for these shots. Also, we hope you like the new waterfalls and river on SA_ClearCut.

Probably was update content from released in september, but it didn't arrive in the news section before early october.
That aside, man oh man oh man do i want this mod bad!!
I may be wrong but i think they said at some point that foot soldiers were to be playable aswell!
Or is that just me and my confused mind making stuff up?
Cheers and keep up this fantastic work!

Actually, no
They are the size according to battletech TRO Information (technical readouts)
I don't know where you are getting your information, perhaps they just "look" smaller to you
*Its a September release because it shows what was done in September
