Cyberpunk-Noir City Environment [Download]
It’s been a long time coming, but I have finally been able to get my environment together for release. Sorry for the delay, but I have been extremely busy with university coming to an end and entering the world of work.
I had a few light flickering issues to sort out; they don’t flicker as often now, and I set up some area triggers which turn the bar lights off when the player isn’t near that area. The player has no weapons as the basic idea for my environment was for it to be used in an adventure game. You can pass through some objects e.g. the street lights... sorry about that, lol. The framerate with all settings on max varies from 60 to 25 FPS (in the areas with many lights) on my setup*. Although, it should be perfectly ample for exploring the level. Anyway, I hope you like exploring this small environment and enjoy soaking up the atmosphere.
And feel free to use any of my assets in your own levels/mods, but please credit me if you do release a level or mod using my assets. Thanks.
Announcement: I am now working on a Cyberpunk/Noir/Retro RPG/Adventure Mod with some fellow CryModders. We are very passionate about the project and are putting a lot of soul into it. Later in the day I will be posting a link to our mod profile. If you're interested, you can keep up to date with our progress.
Thanks, and enjoy,
Jessica.
* My Setup:
ATI Radeon HD4870
AMD X2 2.4 Ghz
2GB DDR2
etc. etc.

Maybe this is how Missing.String got created

Oh the DoF is actually because the player got a bit drunk
haha.
Yes it will be for download, and it will be taking place in a new, but similar environment. I'm currently building little scenes here and there that I want in the mod. That's why I said just for fun
I just put in a simple but effective branching dialog system last night.

Woops, my bad. Will get right on it
EDIT: Download now available: Cyberpunk-Noir City
The map is stunning by the way. I love the atmosphere and the bring colors. The buildings are very well done too.
Hope to see more

Hehe, thank you very much. I have already started on a new cyberpunk project as stated above and the models are going to be much better this time. Can't wait for everyone to see it.
Thanks for approving my level btw and calling it beautiful!

2 bugs :
1. the map is not compatible with my own edited version of H|P custom config 1.3.1; everything went white, only a few objects can barely be seen including my feet and even then they were only blacks covered by whites on the edges.
2. there are many 'raining' textures.

I'm sorry but I don't know how to fix that, the map has been tested on 4 computers I know of, and it has worked fine on every single one.
Furthermore not sure what you mean by 'there are many 'raining' textures'? Too many? There is one on almost every building/object in the forefront. But its raining so...

well ,you cant request that this level works with modified custom configs
If it works with the default config its ok.
And for the lags,I figured out that it runs way better on vista.
In vista I almost have no lags and with dx 10 its even better.
I rly like the level but its way too small.I wish there was an entire city to explore.
Do you think that is possible jjjapan ?
Also it was cool that some guys jumped over the puddle
