Just tried it, works really well. I was able to sustain around 19-25fps with it at 1680x1050. Normally I get around 13-23.
At 1280x1024 I got a solid 25-35fps. Which is really good for Enthusiast looking settings.
One thing I don't like is how much SSAO there is.

Works a treat, well done
I now get 30 - 35fps constantly @ 1280x1024 no AA, around 10fps increase from standard enthusiast with no visible reduction in quality

Great work, really nice speed boost. Reminiscent of the ole ccc mod for vanilla crysis. Perhaps only one little recommendation would be to fix the glow around the gun and hands, Cuban had the same problem on one of his releases but it was fixed. Other than that perfect work man!! Much appreciated!!!

But the above post is right, SSAO Glow is a bit of a problem. But it's only visible when th e actual SSAO levels are a bit too high.
Though it was fixed in CCC with the help of some TOD Tweaking by Ultima, unfortunately in Warhead TOD Tweaking is not yet possible.
your SS with a 15-20 FPS improvement over Enthusaist are cool, but frankly i fail to see why others as well can't see such high gains as you? Mind posting your system specs, resolution and Drivers?

Core System Specs.
- q9450 OC 3.32ghz (VCore = 1.350)
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
- 9800 GX2 OC 705/1762/1105 - 177.92
- Windows Vista 64 Bit
Game ran at 1280 x 1024, Vsync, 2x AA
Are you guys running SLI or single card? Further, try the Forceware 177/178 drivers because the performance boost is quite significant. Drivers/ card configuration shouldn't really affect the way a config works, but its worth looking into.

What are the speaker settings to be changed to for people with 2.1 speakers?

"s_SpeakerConfig = 2" for 2.1.
1 = Mono; 2 = Stereo; 3 = Headphone; 4 = 4.1; 5 = 5.1; and 7 = 7.1.

Switch around a few settings and no one will notice, huh?
We have over 50,000 downloads. If it wasn't us, someone else would have noticed quite easily.

Excuse me completely. This config DOES have portions derived from the CCC 2.1 config and I've failed to give them credit in my first post. My fault entirely. However, this config IS different and has been simplified in many ways. I sincerely apologize and the post/config has been revisited.

The only difference i spotted was that you took out the Shadows section from the [CCC] and took out the shounds section, thats it, every single otehr line (EXCEPT FOR 2 CVARS) are Copy/paste and exactly the same.
You changed the shadow Shader to 2 (from 1), thus making this perform worse than the original level 4 [CCC] Config.
Because the Level 2 shader takes AWAY more FPS that the Level 1 Optimised shader the [CCC] Uses (which looks more detailed in quality than Level 2 Shadows shaders).

Sorry, I could be wrong in how I think it works, but I can't help not to notice the significant difference of triangles between those comparisons, as well as RAM usage...
The second isn't that much different statistically, however I like the visual quality from CCC more in that one. And if it makes any difference, the radar indicates more people and activity behind the player in the second CCC screen.
Regardless, I guess the only thing to do is try it and see which you like better.
(Offtopic: Do I overuse transitional phrases? Seems to me like I do.)

Elmo, the GPU renders what is being displayed. It makes no sense for the GPU to render what can't be seen.
Character AI, which are more plentiful in the CCC comparison, are assessed by the CPU. In this respect, framerate will only be affected if the CPU can't keep up with the GPU and is acting as a bottleneck. My q9450 is clocked at 3.2 ghz and surely isn't a bottleneck.
In regards to the RAM usage - this is simply a product of each individual config. The Bustas Config has a lower overall "view distance" thus uses lower amounts of RAM. Such goes to further prove the difference between the two configs.

So view distance is the main difference then? Fair enough. Can you post comparison shots with long viewing distance for us to see then?
