Update: Finished the base layer for the face mask (I finally got rid of that safety mask from the hardware store). I'm waiting for more braided sleeving to arrive in the mail before I can make more progress on the helmet or body armor.

Update: Hi guys. Sorry it's been a while since the last progress update. I started working on doing a full armor paper mockup (I only have the chest so far) to get all the measurements and proportions right before I start working on the real thing. More to come!

Update: I started working on a custom mannequin to help make things easier in terms of getting the right fit for all the armor pieces. I've never worked on another "person" before, but it should be much easier than trying to work on myself while simultaneously either looking down at myself or looking in the mirror.

Update: A shipment of braided tubing has finally arrived, and I've started attaching it to the mask. At the moment, it's only attached via tape, but once the overall shape of the mask is finalized, I'll trim all the excess hanging off the edges and either glue the braided tubes or sew them down by hand. Both methods are rather unappealing since things will probably shift as the glue dries and hand sewing is...well, hand sewing.
Thanks for the pics, Shadez. I hate to be a bother, but is it possible to get more angles all around the helmet? Front, front 3/4, back 3/4, top, etc.? Thanks again, these were really helpful!
