I got a question about the PS rules

Is really nesessary? About the Barracks in the prefab (i made my own bunker to spawn in)? Do i need to use balanced auto turrets?

Another question: What's with the Alpha and Beta, my map is almost finished, but do i need to upload screenshots/.cry from the Alpha or Beta to join the competition?
I got 15 backups of my map, from the beginning (testing online) so i actually don't need to upload a beta.. I tested this map alot.

I think they want to see progress, so I suggest you submit the current "finished" map as alpha and continue to improve it. Maps can always be improved (gameplay, art style, atmosphere...)Smile

Greetings,

well the Headquarters are must-have and since the NK headquarter does not include an automatic spawn point you need to have barracks placed as well to allow spawning of the players Wink

Auto turrets should be placed sicne they are part of the PowerStruggle game mode and thus should be used.

As for the screenshot submission it would be required to upload shots of the alpha/beta status of your map to prove you have been working on it.

as for the final level submission - just include one .cry file that has the alpha status and one .cry file that has the beta status of the map. Thus we can see the progress of it and can verify that you are the creator of it.

My map is very small. But very good for the gameplay (even 1 on 1) but not 6 on 6. It would be overcrowded.. And not fun to be played. ( I think )

So this map is just.. Screwed?

of course you can, but your level should include the requirements in order to guarantee fluent and balanced gameplay.

I got everything exept the 'standard' turrets as a prefab, they see you trough the terrain/solids but not the vegatation so i removed them.

Because my map is so small, the turrets kept shooting all time. There is an entity for a turret which i can adjust the sight of the turret. But that causes a crash when i started using it (Online)
Maybe i did something wrong.
I got instead of turrets: Forbidden area. Which also works good. Exeptions are allowed?

Edit: About the balanced thing, definitely.

I've tested his map and he's got everything. It's just that he's got other "types" of everything.

Example: Turrets = Forbidden area. and such

it is okay as long as you have somethign similar to turrets in your level which is the case.

I have a issue with FG.. and since its related to the map.. I want it a secret till the map is done.. Its for the PS version of my map as it adds gameplay.. is it ok to get help privatly and after the contest to release the FG in the depository for others??

my map size 1024x1024 playable.. double that for the whole map

For the IA competition how will we be judged on FPS i.e. what kind of rig will the judges be running and what can we consider to be 2 low a framerate on what settings?... Just wondering cause my map is quite visually orientated and obviously needs a reasonable setup in order to be fun under mulitplayer?.... thanks

you can set certain things to show up on different levels.. fo instance High Very High Med.. so on...
but if your runnin on med it really doesnt matter Confused if you have a good system DOH Big Grin
