Well 20.000 characters for a map description. Way to much for such a small map. ;)
As you can see on the shots I used the past two months of development to create a breathtaking environment fitting to Crysis.
My goal was to stick to the Crysis roots of forrests, flowers and future warfare but also bring in new gameplay experience and my personal preference for old and derelict architecture combined with a fine soundscape from birds to war. You will see waterfalls, floating rivers plus flying helicopters heading towards the battlefield. And last but not least: Chickens!
Borderline is designed with the special gameplay possibilities offered by the Crysis Nanosuit Equipment in mind. Use your cloaking device while sneaking through the fields! Jump on top of buildings to get powerful weaponry or just be quicker then your opponent while avoiding his MG fire from the hills or streets!
Borderline will be very playable on a Nvidia GTS8800 512 with Ultra High enabled but still look good on medium gaming rigs due the heavy optimising of the level plus the handmade Time of Day setup.
So get out soldier! Defend the Borderline!

Installation guide:
- Go to the ..\Game\Levels\Multiplayer\IA folder.
- Eventually backup existing levels with the same name.
- Place the custom map into this folder.
- Start Crysis
- You can create a lan or internet server, put the level into the rotation and play.
Additionally you can use the Crysis Launcher to load your custom level.
NOTE:If you use modified multiplayer levels from the Crysis retails version, the cheatprotection wont't let you join an online server. |
